Hi, I'm Andy Ruder, the author of this page. I'm 17 years old and I live in the United States. I work at Arby's for a living, which is not exactly a way for me to show off my programming skills but it is a way for me to earn a little bit of money.

I've been programming since the age of 12 or so, and I've been using linux since the age of 15. As of right now, I can program in the languages : Pascal, BASIC, x86 Assembly, C, C++, Objective-C, and I do know a little bit of Python. I haven't finished any large projects as of this point in time, mostly because I waste too much time helping people out in #c, #c++, #linpeople and #linuxhelp on irc.openprojects.net. Warning to you all now, IRC is the bane to all devoted programmers. Stay away!

My computer is a 366 mhz Celeron with a 6.4 gigabyte harddrive. Its got 64 megs of RAM, and a cruddy ATI 3d RAGE IIC video card.(Needless to say, you will never find me releasing a OpenGL program). I'm running linux 2.2.19. My family also owns a few other computers : a 1000 mhz Athlon (which I do actually have linux on but I don't really use), a 166 mhz Pentium 1, and the blazingly fast 12.5 mhz 286 with a spacious 40 meg hard drive, which I was actually still using as my computer for programming until a couple years ago.

I spend most of my time either on my computer, with my girlfriend, or playing my trumpet. Perhaps in the near future I'll put up a picture of me and my girlfriend(she's real cute =)).
